Desiree Delaloye – Creative Powerhouse

NAME: Desiree Delaloye
AGE: 50

LOCATION: Goonellabah

Proprietor of Design-Arts by Desiree Delaloye, Partner at Universal Healing Symbols & Feather Light Productions,
Co-Director at SunLight Ink Publishing

If I were to sum up my life at this juncture I would say that I have always been a natural artist, a fountain of creativity and that I have always shared this abundance ever since I can remember. It is an intrinsically natural expression of mine, always there and always ready to be expressed. Paintings I did in my school years still blow me away as I see the ageless wisdom coming through.
Throughout my life this creative flow, expressed in designs, paintings, drawings, craft, photos, sculptures, sewing my own fashion lines and more, has brought endless inspiration and joy to myself, and the projects I am involved in. Working in the creative arts was always an obvious career choice.
Add to that that I was born and raised in a small village in the German part of Switzerland where there was not a huge amount to do for young people growing up; and with a dad working as an architect and a mum equally creative with designs and paintings in her early life, colours and fashion was always an interest we shared, I was inspired to draw my own ‘house plans’ from very early on.
At 14 years of age I started my career path and worked the first 5 years in photography. Open to a change I was then offered a move to graphic and corporate design. I jumped at the opportunity and worked for years in graphic ateliers, the advertising industry, free-lanced for a long stint in pharmaceutical advertising, but more so enjoyed corporate branding. However, by 1995 using my creativity to ‘sell’ alcohol, cigarettes, fast food and lifestyle pharmaceuticals etc., all of which is detrimental to the human body on the whole, did not sit right with me any longer. The corruption in the industry and that of the health and well-being of humanity soon had me at a place where I wanted to just give it all up and run for the hills – which I literally did for five years.
I started travelling the world financing it by working as a freelance art director for a few months a year. Looking for the meaning of life I was seeking to avoid the doldrums of the life I had left behind. However no matter how exotic the destination or how luxurious the guest bed on my travels was, this “alternative” life-style didn’t suit me. I ended up missing being in the world, participating and expressing creatively.
Upon my migration and settling in Australia in 2001 I established my design office in Northern NSW, during which time I also met my mentor and dear friend Serge Benhayon. Through the absolute inspiration, teachings, love and care of Serge, over the years I re-developed what it means to be truly creative and now support and serve my clients and customers in a way that I only dreamt was possible. My work life these days is extremely diverse and ranges from logo design, branding, web design, book design and production to illustrations, product designs, project management, writing and illustrating kids books, curating a large health and wellbeing website, to managing large groups of people with whom I am working on volunteer projects and more.
The way I now work in all that I do and bring is based on the fact that:
Everything is energy and therefore, everything
is because of energy. ~ Serge Benhayon
To work and express in this connective way brings an enormous joy and supplies an abundance of energy to constantly bring my all to whatever is called for. It has become an expression of the deep beauty I have connected to within my own essence.
My work is unique in the sense that the designs and illustrations, the logos and the products focus on supporting the recipient to connect deeply to their divine essence, supporting them to naturally be more – to bring out their own uniqueness, often supporting their business to flourish. I love working this way as it allows me to bring me in full and equally supports my clients/customers to do the same. Connecting in this way is a great joy and also deeply nourishing for all involved.
Being very down to earth and practical I have always been known to be a woman of action who loves to get things done and completed. People close to me know how much I love to bring order (at work, in the kitchen or generally everywhere) and I do so with incredible precision and attention to detail which is something I have learnt to very much appreciate and I have diligently worked to establish throughout my life.
Since landing in Australia, together with friends, I have established a further three businesses where it was felt that the products we design are truly and deeply supporting humanity. Based on the many years in advertising I am sensitised to the fact that a product needs to be supportive of a healthy and harmonious life otherwise I do not put my energy to it.

SunLight Ink Publishing is the company I founded with Tanya Curtis, a behavioural specialist on the Gold Coast. Our books have been developed in response to the knowing that although we begin life with a sense of our own essence and awareness of the world, everything a child, young person and adult experiences leaves an energetic imprint in the body. These imprints are carried through life influencing the choices we make and the way we think about ourselves and others, affecting our overall psychological well-being. Our books are written with a profound understanding that each word and image carries an energetic imprint and either has a supportive impact or a harmful impact on the reader. We don’t tell people what they need to be, how they need to act or what they need to strive for but rather hold the reader in the knowing that they are already it and that each person has the same essence that can be known, nurtured and lived in full.
Another business I have co-founded with Miranda Benhayon and immensely enjoy being involved in is Feather Light Productions. Miranda and I have come to understand from observing society that the state of true vitality and well-being is at an all time low. Based on this understanding we specialise in silk products that we purpose design to support the restoration and nurturing of our all-too-often tired and worn out bodies, the effects of the fast paced and mostly disconnected life humanity as a whole is living – offering a moment of rest and stillness to come back to a sense of at-oneness within oneself.
A large part of my life I dedicate to assist Serge Benhayon in his service to humanity as a teacher, philosopher and author, which has been the most outstanding and humbling learning and development for me as a person as well as a professional. One of the many projects I have the pleasure to be a part of is typesetting his books. This is an intimate collaboration with Serge the author, Gabriele Conrad as the editor and myself as the production manager and typesetter of the books. To date we have collaborated on and produced 8 of Serge’s books and I can state that with each book that I typeset and thus read every letter of I myself as a person undergo a deep, transformative process. The deep ageless wisdom shared in the books imbues my body whilst I am at work – it is always a highlight for me to be able to get my hands on the next book Serge is publishing. There are a gazillion more projects we have worked on together, one of which is the Universal Healing Symbols and I can simply state that the grace brought into my life by working with Serge Benhayon is permeating throughout all that I am today – he is a true mentor and teacher.
I consider myself extremely abundant when it comes to true friends and loving relationships. Dedicated to the bone I will support with warmth and wisdom and I am blessed with friends that deeply care and support me equally. My friends know that they can count on me and that I will leave no stone unturned to help them out and support them, may that be personally or with their business. I love meeting people in this openness of potential growth and expansion as this is what makes relationships so deeply nourishing and fun to explore. The same principle extends to all my business clients, as pretty much all of them are my friends by the time we come to the completion of a job.
In the last 15 years, since starting to study with Universal Medicine, I have rediscovered the joy of being a woman and have re-claimed the lush and exquisite Divine woman that I know myself to be. Deeply inspired by this unfolding I now hold and inspire women and men to reconnect to their own unique inner-beauty too. As one client commented:
I'd like to express my appreciation for the
support you offered us today. It was an amazing meeting – we felt totally seen and very loved by you.
I also feel truly inspired by the strength, clarity and beauty you hold and express as a woman.
This connection and reflection confirms that true beauty is not a physical appearance, has nothing to do with age, race or other outer differentiators but that true beauty is the joy and light that shines through our eyes and body every time we are connected to ourselves and we allow the other in to see us in this connection.
It is all of the above and so much more that I bring to life, which makes me irresistible – a joy to be around and easy to love … just ask my friends. Although some of them may say it’s because of the killer lamb roasts I frequently produce and grace our dinner table with.
