Nicola Lessing - Expressing Soul-fully
NAME: Nicola Lessing
LOCATION: Goonellabah, Australia
Director and General Manager
As I approach my sixth decade, I find myself not only feeling younger, sexier and more vital than at any other time of my life, but enjoying life more than I ever could have even dreamt was possible, and there does not seem to be any end point!
On the outside my life has always appeared to be very successful, however the inside did not match that. Whilst I excelled at every job I did and business I ran, I always felt something was missing and that life did not make sense. I was looking for an answer but had forgotten what the question was.
In a nutshell I was born in London in 1957 and lived there until 1993. I left school and home at 16, travelled around the world and had lots of different jobs for a couple of years. Trained as a registered nurse in 1975 and then following post graduate qualifications, had a career as a senior Nursing Sister. I gave that up in 1983 and gained extensive business experience living and working in several countries overseas. In 1993 I met and married my super gorgeous husband Christoph Schnelle and moved to Sydney, Australia. Since that day we have lived and worked together 24/7.
Christoph already had a successful business which he was the CEO of. When I arrived we founded a new Technology and Services Company which I was the CEO of. Over the next few years, our new business received $7 million in Venture Capital and Government R&D Grants, won awards and grew from one employee (me) to having 35 staff. By now I could tick every box I might have ever wanted (although I never particularly wanted anything) and yet I still had that incomplete feeling. As the years went by I started gaining weight and getting more and more exhausted.
Serge lives and expresses from his essence and through his love, reflection, living ways and teachings I was able to start the process of reconnecting to that same quality in myself and everyone else.
The seemingly miraculous changes did not all happen overnight – but the reconnection to myself did and the way back was revealed. I say the “way back” because one of the fundamental teachings of Universal Medicine and a truth I have experienced for myself, is that we are ALL already divine at essence. Therefore, evolution is a process of RETURNING to our Divinity and not about attaining, gaining, seeking or looking outside of ourselves.
This makes everything very simple but it can also be quite confronting as most of us have taken on a lot of false ideals and beliefs and have past hurt and forms of protection we need to deal with and let go off in order to heal. In the case of Christoph and myself in the process of discarding what was not truly us (still an ongoing process) our relationship flourished, we lost a lot of excess weight and regained our health, vitality and love of life and people.
So how does all this express for me in daily life?
Therefore, it does not make any difference whether I am negotiating a contract, doing the washing up, answering the phone, talking to a client or having a walk – in every instance it is about me bringing the love and fullness of myself to everything and everyone equally. Of course I still have many oops moments so it is not about me being perfect as that is not possible, but even an oops moment is an opportunity to learn and have a laugh!
Currently, I get up at around 3:30am every day and go to bed at about 8:45pm. I work 7 days a week, don’t consume any substance such as alcohol or caffeine, don’t eat gluten, dairy, salt or added sugar, have very little carbs, don’t watch TV and choose not to indulge in emotions.
I have discovered that I love people, that my life is part of a grand plan and has a purpose and to my huge surprise I also found that I am a deeply religious person. I have rediscovered religion through my connection to The Way of The Livingness as presented by Serge Benhayon, the Ageless Wisdom and my own inner heart. I say this is a huge surprise because before meeting Serge I would have cringed or run a mile from the word religion and was also fairly suspect about the use (or rather misuse) of the word love.
I can now see why I used to react so much to the words love and religion, as they must be two of the most bastardised words in our language. If we consider that Love is who we all are and Religion is our reconnection to our true Divine selves, then we can also see that many acts are carried out in the name of love and religion that are very far from that.
Through my own knowing and the teachings of Serge Benhayon, I became aware of the humongous harm done to humanity through the misuse of words and set up Unimedpedia which is a project to bring truth back to words and language. A couple of years ago I wrote an article about the abuse of language and the word religion which can be found here. I continue to work on Unimedpedia with four other volunteers.
I am a Director and the General Manager of In Your Interest Financial Planning which is a very successful business that my husband Christoph Schnelle and I founded and own together. Christoph is an awesome Financial Advisor and Life Insurance Specialist and we have about 1,000 lovely clients Australia wide. We also contribute to bringing more awareness and integrity to our industry through various professional bodies and by having a regular column in a newspaper and magazine.
Travelbay Pty Ltd is a second business we set up and own together with our dear friend and business partner Nikki McKee. I am also a Director and General Manager of Travelbay and very hands on in the running of the business together with Nikki. Travelbay provides well priced and lovingly selected holiday deals and packages throughout the world. This allows us to connect with many people all over the globe and once again we are bringing a new and loving way of doing business to an industry both by how we interact with our clients and suppliers and also through social media and our extensive blogging.
In December 2012, I started working in a voluntary capacity with the global health and wellbeing website unimedliving. I founded what is known as the Voice Sphere with the aim of producing audio excerpts for the public taken from the presentations of Serge Benhayon, Natalie Benhayon and Universal Medicine.
The amazing team I work with on this project alone now consists of 25 super gorgeous and dedicated volunteers who I am deeply honoured to work and play with. These men and women live in different locations around the world including England, Australia, USA, Colombia, Japan and Scotland and yet all work together harmoniously as one. In addition to our small team, hundreds of other volunteers collaborate on other aspects of Unimed Living such that we are really one huge global team.
We meet online and due to time differences and everyone having work commitments that means for some it might be 3am and others the evening. It also means that throughout a 24-hour period someone somewhere in the world is always working on this project.
To date our team has produced over 300 free audio excerpts that are available at www.unimedliving (many more coming), written a significant number of articles and have many other large projects in progress. Whatever we put into this project we get back a thousand fold as it is pure heaven to work together in this manner, for a common purpose and in the joy and equality of true group work.
For the last year I have been project managing the building of a superb (and huge) new home and office that Christoph and I plan to live in and work from for the rest of our life. We plan to work until our last breath and never to retire.
As a member of the Lismore Chamber of Commerce and the Ballina Chamber of Commerce I attend their meetings and local networking events and am involved in various other voluntary projects providing support to many people in the community, as I have so much to share and give back.
So the above is a small snapshot of my life and work. There are also a few books in me and several other projects percolating as I am just starting!
Whilst it may appear as if I have many full time jobs, in truth I only have one job and that is to live and express soul-fully. I use the word Soul here as defined in Unimedpedia Soul.
